Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-06-08
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using LMS Bridge (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Who can use LMS Bridge
The Service is intended for instructional faculty (including adjunct, lecturer, tenure-track, visiting, and other instructor roles) at accredited post-secondary institutions. You confirm that you are at least 18, are using the Service for your own pedagogical or research work, and have authority to access the institutional data you connect to the Service.
3. Account
You are responsible for keeping your password and any connected Canvas access tokens secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access by emailing hello@lmsbridge.ai.
4. Permitted use
You agree to use the Service only as permitted by these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, your institution's data-handling and educational-technology policies, and applicable law (including FERPA, your state's educational data privacy laws, and any institution-specific Data Use Agreement that applies).
5. Your content and Canvas data
You retain all rights to any content you upload or generate using the Service (including syllabi, assignments, quiz questions, narratives, and rubrics). You grant LMS Bridge a limited, revocable license to use this content solely to provide the Service to you.
When you connect a Canvas access token, you grant LMS Bridge the right to make Canvas API calls on your behalf, limited to read operations needed to produce the outputs you request. We never request or use admin / write scopes that you have not granted.
6. AI-generated content
LMS Bridge uses third-party AI models (currently Anthropic Claude) to help generate course materials, assessments, narratives, and other outputs. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before publishing it to students or institutional systems. You agree that AI outputs are not guaranteed accurate, factual, or free of bias, and that educational judgment remains your responsibility.
7. Pricing and billing
During the pilot phase, the Service is provided free of charge to individual instructors. We may introduce pricing in the future with at least 30 days' notice; your access to any free tier you signed up under will be honored through the period communicated. Institutional plans are priced separately under a written agreement.
8. Modification and termination
We may modify or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice. You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law, with notice where practical. Upon termination, we will delete your data per our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated outputs will be accurate. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LMS Bridge's total liability under these Terms is limited to (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100), whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
12. Changes to these Terms
We will email you at least 14 days before any material change. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
